Known as the most powerful of spiritual experiences we can have in life, the Mandorla is the place of poetry. “And the fire and the rose are one.” Little Gidding ~ T. S Eliot

We all experience conflict at some point in our lives; while we might experience this as conflict outside ourselves, it is likely that we are deeply internally discordant.
The conflicts we get to know personally may be our masculine and feminine sides leaving us unbalanced and missing out on what each can bring to our growth. We can also be experiencing the conflict between matter and spirituality, where the two have yet to meet. These are some of the many inner conflicts we have and there are the inherent challenges in making simple decisions as well!
Whatever is unconscious needs to be brought to the conscious mind. By doing the personal development work we begin to learn what has caused inhibitions as we hide ourselves and diminish our voices. Once known and acknowledged, we can begin the journey of acceptance, finding new ways to be and new ways to show up to who we truly are.
This workshop will help you to uncover those conflicts, to acknowledge them, to accept them, to be creative with them, so that you can see the root causes and begin to find inspired ways to make changes.
This unfolding leads to empowerment, making you more conscious of the habits and patterns that can diminish you and bringing a sense of how to move forward with courage and confidence, bring your self-worth fully into community.
The key to transforming the destructive consequences of conflict into life-affirming outcomes lies in how we relate to the tension between opposites. When we can hold the tension within ourselves, bearing the pain, beauty and terror that this brings, we bring the two opposing elements together, creating a space in which the split between the two can be resolved and used for the positive. We call this space the ‘Mandorla’.
The Mandorla is known as the ‘Vesica Piscis’ the sacred space of our soul work; when we stand in this place we have the ability to transform what once was a curse into powerful medicine for the soul.
The Mandorla – an ancient symbol for wholeness and balance. – epitomises the ancient secret of the Flower of Life, a sacred geometric form, and is based upon those principles, symbolising the interface between the spiritual and physical worlds. Once understood how separate we have become from each, we can begin the journey of reconnecting. This lessens any level of dissociation, ungrounded behaviours and the discomfort of conflict. It is a marriage of spirit and matter, just as we explore the marriage of soul and a healthy ego. One cannot be whole and embodied without the other.
During this workshop, we draw upon the tools of conscious dance, creativity, self-help, movement meditation and constellation-work to engage with the Magic of the Mandorla. You will explore the conflict of meeting your core-wounds in relationship to your aspirations, creating authentic and integrated empowerment. With the support of the group and a constellation process held and guided by Caroline and the drum beat, you will enter the space of the Mandorla, allowing it to work its magic upon you, bringing the riches of wisdom and new insights.

I’ve only ever danced (at least sober) in my own living room before so I was apprehensive about a weekend exploring the Mandorla via dance with Caroline but felt drawn to take part. I’m so glad I did. Caroline made me feel immediately comfortable and almost as unselfconscious as I am dancing at home. The people who are attracted to the sort of work Caroline does are open hearted, kind and adventurous exactly the sort of fellow explorers you need to venture into this sort of inner work. As an artist I was especially interested in the art-making component of the workshop. I felt free to create in my own way but without the pressure of perfection that I often feel in my professional work, I think anyone at any level of artistic experience (or none) would find this accessible and enriching. The feeling of camaraderie built up over the weekend so when it was time to dive in deep it didn’t feel too intimidating especially with Caroline’s gentle but firm manner of holding space. In the following days I’ve been expanding on the insights I gained over the weekend and believe they will have a significant effect on how I live my life from now on. I couldn’t recommend the Magic of Mandorla workshop more highly, if you’re hesitating I suggest taking the leap! Rebecca Fox
“The medicine from your Mandorla workshop in Amsterdam is still working in me, it was a deep surprise to experience this work. I am still in the process of embodying what I learned that weekend into everyday choices and actions. The experience was so strong that I can easily recall it and tap into its vivid messages. Remembering. Thank you again for this precious work.”Vanessa
“The Magic of Mandorla Intensive with our lovely little group was a precious and privileged time for me. Thank you Caroline as always for holding this creative space with such gentle care, skill and grace.” Gabrielle Cheung
“Caroline holds strong boundaries to facilitate and enable personal process to show up and be moved through. Her gentle yet strongly compassionate presence allows the dance of personal story be danced and let go of, for free space to emerge to invite newness in. This is the Magic of Mandorla.” Zarah Francis
