Event Details
A series of workshops to strengthen and integrate our connection to the second half of life. Knowing the story of our first half of life, uncovers the purpose of our second half. An opportunity to keep our bodies, minds and hearts engaged while recognising and developing our innate wisdom and the potential we hold to be embodied and wise elders with a defined role to play. Together we empower each other and support the resources necessary for our vitality and longevity, our knowledge and wisdom and what is important for us to share.

What to expect at these conscious dance sessions.
We come together primarily to dance, to connect with each other and share our experiences. Music is played, as we begin with a warm up and first dance, it is important to spend time with this first dance to warm your body and familiarise yourself with the space and others in the room. There is often a theme to give some focus to.

There are also a few important guidelines.
-
- Wearing comfortable clothing is helpful, loose layers work best. It is advised to ensure trousers cannot wrap around the feet or ankles restricting movement. Make sure you are warm enough when the music is slowing down.
- We dance in bare feet, if you must wear shoes ensure they are lightweight indoor only dance/gym footwear.
- Do NOT wear socks without indoor shoes
- Have water to drink in a closed container
- If you spill water/drink please clear it up or ask a helper to.
- When moving around the space keep your eyes open or with a soft gaze.
- The dance can activate emotions and feelings, sometimes not expected.
- If you are in need of support after the dance, please ask for advise for local practitioners.
- We do our best to gauge heating conditions, opening windows when appropriate, There may be particular codes for different rooms, please always ask if you can open a window and do not interfere with the heating dials.
- When sharing in the circles please stick to comments about yourself and do not speak about others, the dance space encourages confidentiality. Whatever occurs in the room is for those present only and not to be shared elsewhere.
- Everything is welcome in the dance , but if you need some support please ask. Guidance can be given. The best way to be with it is to keep moving and give expression to how you feel.
- If you need more information do not hesitate to ask
